Features and Use of Slack Components

Q. Are Slack's ~ functions supported by the Slack component?

The status of support for typical functions is listed in (3) List of Slack Component Functions.

*Functions not listed in the list are not supported at this time. Please be aware of this.

Q. Will a channel that I add a tab to the Slack component become a common setting for my organization and be visible to other Salesforce users?

Yes, the association between a record and a channel by adding a tab is a common setting for the organization, so if the user has permission to view the target channel, the tab (channel) will appear as if it were your own.

Q. Will a private channel that I add a tab to in the Slack component be visible to other Salesforce users

who are not participating in the target channel?

No, a private channel that is not fully public will not be visible to other users who have not joined the target channel on the Slack component.

The channel visible on the Slack component will be the same as the channel visible on the Slack client.

Please use with peace of mind.

Q. Can tabs added to a Slack component ever stop showing up?

If the Slack channel to which a tab is associated is deleted or archived, the tab will no longer appear on the Slack component.

Q. Is it possible to have a one-to-many integration of multiple Slack workspaces with a Salesforce organization

    that has deployed Slack components?

Current functionality allows for one-to-one use of Salesforce organizations and Slack workspaces.

Q. I want to stop using the Slack component and want to delete my Slack credentials as well. What should I do?

The Slack authentication information saved in (1) Slack Authentication Settings is held in the record of the following custom object included in the AppExchange package of SkyVisualEditor LC.
