Certain permissions must be granted to Salesforce in order to use SkyVisualEditor.
See below for the required permission on Salesforce to execute these actions. Setting must be done per profile for each action.

Grant permission to:
-Modify all data
-Download AppExchange package

To use SkyVisualEditor
Grant license  to SkyVisualEditor

Grant permission to:
-User Administration
-Package License Administration
-Download AppExchange package
(*As of 2013/12/25, users in English language setting does not require permission to "Download AppExchange package")

Connect SkyVisualEditor to Salesforce

Grant permission to:

  • API Enabled
    -View setup and Configuration

Deploy and Development page from SkyVisualEditor

Grant permission to:
-Same permission setting as above (#3 Connect SkyVisualEditor to Salesforce)

  • Author Apex



Here are the steps to grant permission.
Setting -> Administrator -> User Administration -> Profile -> Profile for Developers -> System -> System permission

Click the "Edit" button and check the required permission.
