(1)-e-4. Guidelines for using Inline Editing

Below is a list of restrictions when using Inline Editing feature:

- It will not function under objects and items when inline editing is not allowed on Salesforce Standard Page Layout
Topics below are not found in Knowledge (*1) (as of 2015/05/12)

・       Geographic location (Latitude and Longitude)

- It cannot be used for items set as search Lookup criteria.

- It cannot be used when the property setting for Name item “Show Link” is checked on.

- It cannot be used for salesforce1 and for mobiles with tap event movement.

- When using Salesforce standard “Field Relations” (restricted field and linked field) it is necessary to deploy to the same page block section for the relationship to work.

- In the table component, if the below fields are used with inline editing, when a required field not input error occurs and the screen is redisplayed, inline editing will no longer be able to be used.         
- Picklist (Multiselect Picklist) Fields

          - Text Area Fields

          - Long Text Area Fields

　      - Related fields with restrictions or linkages defined.

- When the following conditions are met, the value of the input field will be reflected last when saving, and the value of the output field will not be reflected.
         - Screen placement of both output fields and input fields.
         - The position of the input field is below the output field.
   This will not occur if the input field is deleted or if the input field is placed above the output field.
